Trust success for the best cleaned hospital

The Trust’s cleaning team has won the national Golden Service Awards for the best cleaned healthcare premises by an in house cleaning team. This is a fantastic achievement and one which reflects the tremendous efforts of all our domestics over the last year.

Head of Support Services Nichola Hicks collected the award at a ceremony in a top London Hotel on 2 nd November, with John Smith, Domestic Manager, and Ann Jonas and Claire Greenwood, both domestics at the Trust.

Nichola said: ‘I am delighted with my teams’ achievement and I feel very proud to know that we have won such a prestigious award. It’s great to have some really good news and to have the work and commitment of our staff rewarded with this national recognition.’

Infection Prevention

To help in the fight against all infections, if you are visiting the James Paget University Hospital, please strictly adhere to our infection control guidance and keep to the ward visiting times. If you have any queries, please contact our Patient Advice & Liaison Service (PALS) on 01493 453240.

A document has recently been published to share the learning from this Trust’s experience of the Clostridium Difficile ‘027’ outbreak in 2007 which highlights how it is possible to continue to deliver on other performance targets whilst rapidly reducing the levels of Cdiff to amongst some of the lowest in the country. To access please click here.

For further information on C diff, please click here.
